Last week was Made in Asia, one of the biggest cosplay/manga/oriental oriented conventions in Belgium, where I had a backstage photo booth toghether with another photographer so that we could take pictures without being disturbed by 100.000 Naruto cosplayers wanting pictures.

As there is always the problem of the cosplays being too big, we had foreseen a fairly big backdrop, we thought that only a few of them would not fit onto it... but the first one we saw.. too big. Second one.. ditto..
So if we do it again next year.. dunno what we'll pull of as a backdrop then :/

And now the joy of sifting thru 4000 shots to pick those that get processed

Woke up this morning.. Grabbing the phone to check the news, check FB, check DA..  
Hmm.. lots of likes for the Spiderman picture.. Maybe it got featured in some spiderman related group??
Gets out of bed and boots pc.. And there i see the Daily deviation message under the image. Me is happy now

And quite amazed... as I really don't consider it one of my better images. But it proves that everyone sees pictures in a different way. So i'm happy that people seem to like it But do take a look at the others too!!

And now for the logo part.. It's too big.. I've been thinking for a while that i should scale it down, but seeing it at the bottom of the site, it's the only one where the logo is.. disturbing. I know what to do this afternoon..

I wish i would have learned to play an instrument when i was younger.. But my parents are of the rather non inspiring type...

I'm glad that i picked up a camera a few years ago, after the diving accident that took away part of my hearing (don't feel sorry, it made me get into photography, what i expected to be a less dangerous hobby (it ain't btw..)). It made me discover a more creative side that i never expected to have and i've been to places that i would never have thought of before.

But still.. when listening to music like youtu.be/nJyl-e12zJk or seeing shots like those made by i truly wish i would have been creative earlier in my life.

All is go for Japan expo, so expect more pictures halfway next week. I'm also planning to go shoot in Paris itself, but not as much cosplay, but the city itself. I've done a couple of model shoots there, but never had the time to do some real cityscapes, hopefully the weather co-operates

Now i just need to find my polarising filter.. had it in my hands today, but can't seem to remember where i put it :/
